Last Saturday marked the end of the spring qualifiers. That means summer is almost here, and things are about to get HOT! For now, however, there’s a one-week intermission to get your strength back and reboot a little.
The Summer Challengers will kick off on MAY 18 across all supported regions. The slates will be wiped clean; all teams will start with ZERO POINTS, so if you were unsure whether to join the esports action, now’s your golden opportunity!
These summer qualifiers will be the last of Season 2, so register your team now and fight others on equal footing for a chance to advance to the Pro Series Germany event, which will take place at the end of August during the legendary Gamescom. If you’ve got what it takes, you’ll rip through your opponents in Cologne and move up to the truly epic Season 2 Finals. That’s where you can win a hefty chunk of the $500,000 prize pool and become a star in the world of esports!
There’s an important change that we want to address prior to the start of Summer Challengers: we are moving certain countries of the Latin America region to the North America region. We listened closely to our players and decided that it’s going to improve the gaming experience for all the teams involved. Full list of the countries affected by this change: Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Haiti, and Jamaica.
We’ll start streaming the online cups next weekend, so our avid spectators have something to look forward to as well.
Quick reminder: during the Summer Challengers we’ll unlock Sunburst, Icebreaker, and Orion, as well as Cheetah pants for tournament games. It’s a great chance to try out new tactics and roles, improve your team play, and find new ways to counter enemies.
There might be some other minor improvements during the upcoming weeks; don’t forget to check in with the news on our website and you won’t miss a thing!
