brawlers-guide-to-season-11-VeShiGLCoh

Season 11 is here, and it’s all about outer space and the battles you can wage there. Jump into the cosmic weekend action with 6 stellar brawls and have some fun that bends both time and space!

GENERAL INFO

As you probably already know, brawls are fun mini-events with special game rules that take place on weekends exclusively.

They’re designed in a way to give you maximum joy with minimal investment: they do not affect your account stats, that’s why you can go rogue without having to worry about maintaining your ranks.

Contracts are also there to “level-up” your fun. You sign them when the brawl’s active, you complete the challenges listed in the contract, and you get rewards that include Battle Coins, Elite Consumables and a unique Insignia for every brawl.

It’s not mandatory, of course, it’s just a great way to make a profit while having fun — contract rewards are always worth more than the price of a contract. Also, don’t forget that you can get a Season Pass that includes all brawl contracts! Learn more about the Season Pass in our handy guide.

Don’t forget that you can easily follow all future and ongoing in-game activities in our neat schedule.

BIG GUNS

Sure, there’s lots of satisfaction when you place a perfect aim shot from across the map, but have you tried disintegrating your enemies with the Vulcan grenade launcher or mowing them down with your machine gun? It’s not one bit less satisfactory than all the sniping in the world. Don’t take our word for it, give it a try!

BRAWL RULES

  • Machine guns only
  • You start off with one of the four brawl machine guns: Matador, Annihilator, Hero or Jack Frost
  • You get the Kevlar vest for the duration of the battle
  • You also get access to the following perks (all of them boosted to level 14): Tank, Unbreakable, Regroup, and Helping Hand
  • You can run with machine guns
  • For every 2 eliminations, you get the Vulcan grenade launcher!
  • Everyone has 3000 health and armor
  • This brawl features a unique weapon, which you can’t encounter anywhere else in the game, so most of the tips concern it – the Vulcan grenade launcher.

TIPS

  • Once you get the Vulcan, don’t be in a hurry to fire it off in all directions – the ammo’s limited. Make every shot count by attacking close-packed groups of enemies
  • You may not be the only one with the Vulcan. Other players might have the grenade launcher as well, so don’t go into a berserk mode when you get it
  • Machine guns can fire at pretty long ranges. Keep your distance at all times, and you’ll be able to eliminate enemies with the Vulcan with no hassle

Brawl dates: April 3-5

LOCK ‘N’ LOAD

After you blow off some steam in the Big Guns brawl, it’s time to improve your cold-blooded aim in Lock ‘N’ Load! Shoot for the head, not for the feet, try to change position swiftly, and always look behind your back before you go into a long scoping session. Ah, who are we kidding – everyone’s a sniper in Gods of Boom.

BRAWL RULES

  • King of the Hill 4 vs. 4
  • Upon spawning, you'll get one of the following guns: 5th level Barracuda, Icebreaker or Thanatos, 3rd level Iceberg or Last Breath, 0 level Liquidator
  • You can use the following perks in your loadout (all of them boosted to level 14): Another Shot, Trophy Hunter, High Ground, and Berserk
  • Every time you spawn, and every time you make two eliminations in a row, you get 1 Infravision defense consumable. When you use it, it gives you 6 seconds of Infravision, just like E.Y.E. upgraded to level 3, allowing you to see enemies through walls and solid obstacles. When you get eliminated, you lose all your Infravision consumables
  • Everyone has equal health and armor
  • Headshots do more damage than usual, and body shots do less
  • Only sniper-friendly maps are in rotation

TIPS

  • It's a brawl for those who aim, so do that. Don't expect to deal tons of damage by shooting at people's feet. Sure, you can claim an elimination if you spot an unsuspecting wounded player. But more often than not, you'll need to find the Perfect Aims to reach the MVP screen.
  • Do you know what snipers are afraid of most? Knives. These silent and deadly weapons can be extremely useful against campers, especially if you know the maps well.
  • Don't get too comfy in one place. If you're thinking that you've found the perfect camping spot, think again! It's a good idea to switch your sniping positions every once in a while. After all, if you continuously eliminate the same opponent from the same spot over and over again, chances are, he'll find a way to flank you. He might even do so with a blade in his hands.
  • Watch the watchers! If you see a reckless gunslinger running through the open areas of the map without a care in the world, chances are - others see him too. And you know what they're thinking: gotta snipe that noob before anyone else does. So instead of sniping the poor bloke running in the open, start sniping the elimination-hungry enemies who'll be anxiously moving to more comfortable and usually less safe positions.

Brawl dates: April 10-12

POWER PLAY

Enemies and their dropped weapons are the only objects of interest in this brawl. In Power Play, you get to pick up special power-ups that make you generally stronger, tougher, and harder to take down. Unleash your boosted might upon your enemies and feel the rush of dominance!

BRAWL RULES

  • There are certain places on the map where power-ups spawn
  • There are three types of power-ups: speed, defense, and damage
  • Power-ups effects last for a limited period of time
  • You can collect several power-ups in a row and stack their effects
  • The central point of the map spawns a random power-up, so if you saw a Double Damage bonus appear there once, it doesn’t mean you’ll see it next time

POWER-UPS

  • Speed: lasts 8 seconds and increases movement speed by 20%
  • Double Damage: lasts 16 seconds and doubles your output damage
  • Defense: lasts 16 seconds, reduces incoming damage by 50% and recovers 5% of your armor every 0,5 seconds
  • Power-ups add a lot of tension to the gameplay and a lot of timing-related tactics.

Here’s what you should keep in mind when going into Power Play:

TIPS

  • The Double Damage bonus is everyone’s favorite, so you can expect heated fights around it, which can be a source of eliminations, wink-wink
  • It’s common for gunslingers with Double Damage to go rushing, trying to get up close to the opponents, however, your damage is doubled on all weapons including sniper rifles – think about it
  • The Defense power-up does not protect against knives – if you’re a skilled melee fighter, you can deal some serious damage even to a gunslinger with extra protection
  • If you pick up the same power-up several times, its effect will be prolonged – so moving smart can allow you to maintain the desired state for a while

Brawl dates: April 17-19

ZONE CONTROL

Move around the map as a team to capture and hold the control points that constantly change their position. It’s fast, it’s dynamic, and it’s full of comeback opportunities at any stage of the battle. Intense pew-pew not for the faint of heart.

BRAWL RULES

  • This brawl is played in 4 vs. 4 format
  • The team holding the Zone gains points
  • The Zone changes its location every once in a while and becomes neutral
  • After that, players from both teams need to regroup and capture the Zone in its new area
  • The team that reaches 2000 points first or scores the most points during the time limit wins

TIPS

  • Trying to cap the Zone as soon as it becomes possible is noble and all, but it can be quite dumb as well. If you're all alone and there are at least several enemies headed for the Zone, don't go head-to-head with them. You're quite likely to lose the 1 vs. 2 or 1 vs. 3 fight, not capture the Zone, and leave your team one fighter short. Not cool.
  • Whenever enemy players try to capture the Zone single-handedly, don't scare them off too early and give them a chance to be out of position. They probably won't achieve heck, but they will be bleeding players and postponing their regroup. Wiping the whole team may be beautiful, but eliminating one player every 20-30 seconds is much more effective victory-wise. It diminishes morale and makes coordinated attacks quite impossible.
  • If the enemies took control of the Zone, it's a call to regroup, not to attack. Read this out loud 10 times before going into the brawl, and you'll know how well this mantra actually works.

Brawl dates: April 24–26

ROCKET PARTY

Are you ready to make some noise?! Then let’s rock! This bombastic activity will literally blow you away with its sheer level of excitement and engagement. Pop off those G-Launchers, clear whole rooms of people in one fell swoop, and get more G-Launchers to eliminate more people! It’s like a never-ending boom fest!

BRAWL RULES

  • Team Deathmatch 4 vs. 4
  • Upon spawning, you get 2 Brawl G-Launchers and one charge of Paracelsus that regenerates health and armor
  • Every time you eliminate someone with a G-Launcher, you get 2 G-Launchers
  • Every time you eliminate someone with any weapon, you get one charge of Paracelsus

TIPS

  • When you activate the Paracelsus helmet in the brawl, you get invulnerable to rockets for about 2-3 seconds, but not for guns. You'll also restore health and armor for around 5 seconds.
  • Paracelsus in the brawl is way more powerful than it is in regular games, use it wisely.
  • G-Launchers are badass, but they're not nukes that wipe off the whole map. Keeping your distance and waiting for others to start fighting is always a good tactic. A well-placed rocket can take out several weak opponents who are reloading, healing, or doing whatever.
  • If you've been lucky enough to make a single-shot Triple Elimination, don't count on your opponents' bad short-term memory: they will come back for you full of vengeance and holding all kinds of grudges. If you made a clean shot onto several enemies and got yourself some G-Launchers, farm a new Paracelsus charge too - it'll come in handy sooner than you think.

Brawl dates: May 1–3

TOP GUN

There are many cool guns in the game, but some of them are just life-changing (especially for your enemies). Get a taste of the best weapons in the Top Gun brawl – top-shelf Arsenal items for you to experiment with and enjoy all weekend long. A great way to get familiar with the best elimination tools out there.

BRAWL RULES

  • Team Deathmatch 4 vs. 4
  • Upon spawning, you get 2 random high-tier guns; the guns you get will be of any two types
  • Your loadouts will include the following sets of perks, depending on the spec
  1. Assault: Armor Thief, Piercing Rounds, Battle Surgeon, Second Wind
  2. Sniper: Another Shot, Trophy Hunter, High Ground, Berserk
  3. Support: Tank, Helping Hand, Unbreakable, Patchwork
  • You’ll never get a sniper rifle and machine gun combo
  • You get either the Kevlar, Ifrit or Zero vest each time you spawn
  • Upon spawning, you also get 2 brawl grenades and 5 brawl medkits
  • Everyone gets equal armor and health

TIPS

  • In this brawl a variety of weapons are equally powerful, putting everyone on equal footing and making your actual abilities the cornerstone of success. So it’s time to put that interpersonal skills and previous fighting experience to good use because shooting expertise and teamwork are gold!
  • This is your exclusive opportunity to really get to know different guns. If you’ve ever wanted to try out Porcupine, Odin, or any other kind of high-tier gun, you can’t miss this brawl. Otherwise, how will you know which guns work best for you?

Brawl dates: May 8-10

That’s all the Season 11 brawls for you, gunslingers! Try them all before the season ends, and stay safe while enjoying your weekends!
